The Statistician-General of the Federation/Chief Executive Officer of the National Bureau of Statistics , Adeyemi Adeniran has disclosed that the agency is working with the Real Estate Developers Association of Nigeria and other stakeholders to generate data that will enhance decision-making in the housing industry.
Adeniran observed that REDAN plays a vital role in housing provision, and expressed confidence that the new president will not relent in pursuing the mandate. Lufadeju noted that the new president brings in the best of experience having worked with past leaders and learnt a lot from them, adding that he will elevate the association, and real estate industry as a man of integrity and character
He stressed that REDAN will take a leadership position in ensuring transparency in the sector by creating regulatory frameworks and governance for the real estate industry, as well as collaborating with stakeholders to advocate the recapitalisation of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria as a window for affordable housing.
In his valedictory address, outgone President, Dr Aliyu Wamakko, called on government at the federal, state and local councils to support REDAN, as the association is working for the progress, stability, sustainability and prosperity of the country.
