Denison Partners, the latest start-up advisory outfit, will leverage the bankers’ experience in real estate, funds management and financial services.

Three ex-UBS and Evans & Partners bankers are the latest deal operatives to enter Australia’s crowded corporate advisory market, launching a start-up focused on real estate and funds management.

Despite companies having entertained M&A discussions, businesses and private equity players digested higher borrowing costs, while heightened instances of activism have emboldened shareholders and regulators to become more critical of business tie-ups. The trio worked at UBS throughout the 2000s before coming together at Mr Hunt’s Fort Street Advisers, which was then sold to E&P for roughly $54 million, theAfter the acquisition, Mr Holmes was named a managing director at E&P. The real estate-focused banker became its head of corporate advisory services in 2020 and was eventually elevated to co-head of the E&P Capital business, a position he held until his departure in March.
