Nottinghamshire County Council

Nottinghamshire County Council is looking to construct 75 new properties on three hectares of farmland it owns off Lees Barn Road in Radcliffe-on-Trent, Rushcliffe

A Nottinghamshire council is plotting to build dozens of new rural homes on the edge of a pleasant village. .

The project's planners said the estate's layout had been "carefully considered" so it would fit in with the village's character. Council planning agents want to link the new development to Nottingham Road and St. Lawrence Boulevard using new pedestrian and cycle paths, which they say will connect the homes to the rest of the village and encourage sustainable travel.

Nottingham and Nottinghamshire's Integrated Care Board, which oversees the city and county's NHS, has requested a contribution of £69,000 from the applicant for spending on GP and other primary services. This would be used to fund the replacement of Radcliffe-on-Trent Health Centre, which the NHS said was not fit for purpose anymore.
