Elected members at a meeting of the Belfast City Council Planning Committee on Thursday approved 260 new dwellings, a children's play area and other associated works on the western edge of the city to the north side of Glen Road. The site area is approximately nine hectares. The applicants are Radius Housing Association and Choice Housing.

The retention and augmentation of established site boundaries will also help mitigate against noise impacts upon adjoining residential areas.
