Dozens of animals were seized from a property in Ohio as part of an investigation into alleged cruelty and neglect.

Delaware County Sheriff's deputies and officers with the Humane Society of Delaware County investigate an alleged case of animal cruelty and neglect in Sunbury, Ohio, on Tuesday, June 25, 2024. Those animals are now in the care of the Humane Society, and the Humane Society is working with the prosecutor's office to see if charges should be filed.

It was that dog, sweet Rainbow, that may have saved the lives of dozens of these animals. In total, 81 birds and rabbits, along with nine dogs. Cassidy also says many of the animals were chained up or caged, with no access to food or fresh water.
