An investigator helping Jay Slater's family in Tenerife has claimed that the teenager was "scared" when he left the Airbnb before he disappeared.
The latest development comes after Spanish police officers were seen examining the property in Masca while wearing forensic style blue slip-ons over their shoes on Tuesday morning, days after the official search was called off, the Mirror reports.
But shedding new light on Jay's mindset shortly before he went missing, Mr Williams-Thomas also alleged that during his car journey with them to the property, Jay posted a video on social media boasting about the theft of a Rolex watch.
