We have 4000 people on the beach there, that are being very well protected by our fire fighters.: “We don’t have specific details about property losses. "Some people got into their boats and went across to the other side of the lake to wait out the fire," he says. "We thought about doing that ourselves in our boat, but we decided against that because if the fire comes the winds will pick the seas up. We won't be able to see where we're going. The waves will be two or three feet. And if we get an ember attack, I don't want embers landing on my plastic fuel tank."
