Cambargo resident David Allen said the town "was like a warzone" as devastating bushfires ripped through buildings and homes, leaving two locals dead. On Tuesday afternoon NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian confirmed two men, believed to be a father and his son, had died in the town. "It's pretty terrible, we've lost a lot of buildings in the main street, we've lost a lot of houses and we've lost lives," Mr Allen told Sky News.
"It's just like hell came here...the fires just roared through, there's not a lot people could do," he said. Rural Fire Service Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons described conditions as "one of the worst, if not the worst fire season we have experienced here in New South Wales". He said more than 100 fires are burning across NSW, 60 of which are uncontained and eight of which are at emergency level, with the worst of the blazes situated in the state’s south.
Morrison said that he was happy with the preparations for the fire season

Isn’t this a job for our Home Affairs minister? Isn’t it his job to “ keep us safe”? Where is he? If it was a terrorist attack he would be on every news channel. I guess he can’t blame climate change it’s against the LNP religion.
