Rosenfield, a longtime voter rights advocate, described how every year she and her fellow 450 residents go to the home's auditorium to cast their ballot. "We are losing poll workers late in the process," says Sellers, noting about 200 poll workers in the county dropped out over just two days."You know, we're trying to, you know, reach out to anybody that we can to get some additional poll workers to fill in the spots that that are opening up."

"We just weren't certain that we would be able to assure them enough supplies to be protected. So we thought a delay was in order," Ardoin told NPR'sWisconsin is scheduled to hold its primary on April 7 and officials in Milwaukee are trying to recruit younger poll workers to replace some of the older workers., more than half of Milwaukee's poll workers are over the age of 60.

stop bumping elbows.

Vote by mail is the best!!

Not safe. Stop spreading propaganda.

VOTE BY MAIL. VOTE BY MAIL. VOTE BY MAIL. VOTE BY MAIL. VOTE BY MAIL. VOTE BY MAIL. VOTE BY MAIL. VOTE BY MAIL. VOTE BY MAIL. VOTE BY MAIL. VOTE BY MAIL.

But it's not safe, so why not write a story saying 'it's not safe'?

Postpone the fucking polls!

Good! Every state should do it this way.

Go for it. I’ve been doing it for years and it works fine.

Why not just enable people to vote by phone? Who doesn't have one? You can still vote in person or mail. It could be so easy.

This should be the norm!!!!!!!

Can people stop with the elbow bump to replace handshakes. I cough into my elbow for a reason. Y'all can go a few weeks without touching me. Thanks.

Doubt this really comes to fruition. DNC & GOP will oppose. Why? Because it will mean young people & minorities will have their voice heard in a major way. Which will not bode well for parties that have spent decades working to gerrymander and vote suppress.

people naturally want to stand too close to you in line. all enter and exit thru 1 single door. the 1st polling person standa right next 2 u as u wait for your turn then one person physically takes your i d and hands it back to you. ballot is the placed in use a folio that has

Of course it's possible. Vote by mail already exists in many states and should be an option everywhere regardless of the current circumstances.

Colorado has been vote but mail for a couple of years now, so yes, it can be done. Increased voter turnout, too.

Now everyone is doing Pete’s elbow bump. 😆

There is no reason not to postpone primaries to late May/June.

Mail in ballots are great because they provide the paper trail needed to safeguard our votes. Where allowed, please snap a picture of your ballot for your records before mailing, in case of a contested race requiring recount. HandMarkedPaperBallots✍️ HandCountedPaperBallots📄

Mail in ballots are great, in theory. However, there are those amongst us who are power of attorney for frail, elderly parents who are out of state. The parent’s email doesn’t go to them it comes to us. So, are we to call our parents, ask how they’d vote and “fill it in”?

It would really help with elderly people who are in retirement facilities in lockdown, or who have mobility issues. Voting can be as safe as the Dallas Fort Worth airport for people flying in from Europe, especially in places where the voting locations have been closed. 😱

Here’s a thought, postpone the primary

They should speak to the people in Washington State, it's all mail in voting here all the time and seems to work well, super easy, no waiting and no polling places necessary.

The CrookedGOP strongly favor voter suppression and jerrymandering and won't support this. VoteBlueNoMatterWho

Dear other states, Just ask us here in Washington. We'll help! Sincerely, Washington State cc: GovInslee secstatewa

A carton of biscuits celebrating I-don't-know-what is actually ...

This will make fraud rampant

Oregon's ready... In fact, we've been voting this way for years (and years)! Might be considered low tech but no security concerns given how it's done.

Yes, do send mail in ballots. Our nation cannot afford a delayed election because Trump needs to GO.

WA state can show you how

Oregon does it! VoteByMail

If only someone with no clear path to the nomination would just concede in the name of public safety....

sick-minded people likened themselves to sex symbols. Don't know where their entitlement came from.

My county mails me a sample ballot every time I think. Certainly seems like they could mail the real thing. Although I would expect delays in counting, since they would have little practice in counting large numbers of mail ballots on short notice.

stateinnovation It is possible, Oregon has voted by mail for decades: January 1996, Oregon became the first state to conduct a general election totally by mail

Call the WA state Sec of State office. They’ve got this! We always vote by mail. (But they told us not to lick the envelopes last week due to Covid, but I forgot and did anyway 😖)

Hey guys not smart to touch elbows when you’re supposed to be coughing/sneezing into your elbow

'Some states' have been doing this for years.

Yes send them to EVERY registered voter. This is what should happen anyway.

thats the equivalent of dick slaps.

This! Let’s do this!

Yes. Totally possible.

I’ve heard there’s this new thing called the internet…

Voting by mail / absentee ballots. What a concept!

Might have to postpone the election for a year or two.

Of course it is many states do JUST that

The answer is yes, they can, and should

Ripe for fraud.

I don't see why not...we're doing something similar right now with the 2020 Census.

Yes. It’s possible.

Oregon does this for every election. We don't have in person voting at all.

Ah the mail in ballot. The ones where the Democrats like to just 'find' boxes with thousands of votes that all vote for their guy, and the GOP are always accused of losing.Truth is, I have voted in 5 Presidential Election and I don't have a clue if 1 of my votes was ever counted.

Is there some law that says conventions have to be held by a certain date? Can't they be delayed until September? Let everyone who is left vote by mail.

They can't know that.

Emulate Oregon’s approach. It’s been working beautifully

Colorado has bene doing this for years, it should be standard in every state.

Back on Super Tuesday, my polling place had a huge dispenser of Purell in the entryway.
