Accommodation available for all Malaysian workers here without homes in Singapore

SINGAPORE - Malaysian workers who choose to remain in Singapore will have a place to stay, said Minister Josephine Teo on Tuesday , speaking at a press conference held by the multi-ministry task force on the Covid-19 virus.

"In the few hours that we've been , we've been able to match more than 10,000 so far... so we're confident that those affected will be able to find suitable accommodation by the end of the night." It is estimated that more than 100,000 Malaysians have no living arrangements in Singapore. They include some 1,000 nurses and other healthcare workers who make the daily commute from across the Causeway to their workplaces here.
