More than two billion face masks sourced from countries around the world including Australia were sent to China at the height of the coronavirus epidemic in Wuhan, according to official figures released by the Chinese customs service.
The call for masks to send to China came as bushfires still ravaged eastern Australia and such masks were in demand by locals struggling with smoke and air pollution.
On February 7, the day Poly appears to have air-freighted a shipment of medical supplies to China, the World Health Organisation expressed concern about the global shortage of Personal Protective Equipment . The previous week the president of the Royal Australian College of GPs, Dr Harry Nespolon, had said doctors were worried about the lack of availability of masks.
“In these rapidly evolving times this situation is now reversed as Australia is in need. Currently we are now focused on helping employees, their families and the broader community here in Australia.”

I think it is becoming clearer that China has deceived the world. No surprise there.We don't want them in our lives. The West should stop trading with them and take back all China business and holdings in the West.
It’s a good thing that we helped China to stop the virus from spreading further, imaging if the coronavirus didn’t slow down spreading in China then, what would the world look like now?
This also shows that there are loopholes in Australia ’s foreign policy. Before the new era, government officials need to improve themselves in all aspects, or Australia needs a group of elite officials to lead us .

China made 10 million masks a day at the start of Feb, it's now over 200 million a day. They're sending more masks & medical supplies out than were donated to them. Countries helping each other is a good thing.

I would prefer China re-ship those “original masks” back to Australia
in Wuhan Red Cross tons of resources from different countries and different city of China. zero of them donated to hospital, they keeped resources only governor can pick up for free. this makes other cities shortage of Resources as well. You can found all this chaos on Twitter.

I don't think we should have a problem with this as long as the gesture and goodwill is reciprocated.Meaning,the Chinese should now be happy to ship millions of quality masks to those now in need.
