PETALING JAYA: With the people consuming content online in the comfort of their homes, streaming service dimsum entertainment has seen a huge increase in viewership since the start of the movement control order (MCO).

Its chief marketing officer Lam Swee Kim said since March 18, new daily subscribers had increased by 3,264%, with a spike within a few days.

She said users were glued to their devices and smart TVs for longer stretches, staying on for over 80 minutes per viewing session, with more watching throughout the day, rather than just in the evening after work. “We are also premiering new content multiple times a week, including Thai drama series Deja Vu and In Time With You, as well as expanding our catalogues with series like Singaporean historic drama, the Little Nyonya, My Secret, Terrius from Korea and Thai action series The Crime, ” she said.
