Back in April the govt claimed only 10% of our deaths were in care homes, even though every other European country was seeing about half. As suspected, this massively underestimated the true death toll, which has only got worse after weeks of inaction.
42% of all COVID-19 deaths in the US have taken place in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Yes, because there were a lot more ultra-high risk people in them that the 2019 / 2020 very mild winter flu seasons did not kill. Only 1,800 deaths vs 34,000 on average. The data was available & the government missed it or ignored it due to the panic caused by the flawed models.

The US has the same problem. Workers bring it inside the homes. Folks here get it Bc they don’t social distance or wear a mask. So many unnecessary deaths.
And most of them are owned and operated by rich tories who are simply fleecing the aged before the pass away , they will not invest in proper ppe,they expect your family to help them pay for it - close all private old age homes down, Build these care homes right next to hospitals
