The occupant of the house, in Tipperary, was woken during the incident and chased one of the suspects on foot

At around 5.30am, the two men entered a house at Westgate Court, Irishtown, Clonmel and stole a number of items.

He is currently in South Tipperary General Hospital with what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
