Fire officials say Pacific Gas & Electric transmission lines sparked a wildfire last year in Northern California that destroyed hundreds of homes and led to the evacuation of nearly 100,000 people. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection issued the finding Thursday, July 16, 2020.

Tinder-dry brush and strong winds combined with warm temperatures and low humidity helped the fire spread at extreme rates, the agency said in a statement.Cal Fire did not release details of its investigation but said its report had been sent to the county district attorney’s office, which will decide whether to file criminal charges.

PG&E is the nation’s largest utility and recently emerged from bankruptcy caused by the financial fallout from its role in several devastating wildfires that destroyed more than 27,000 homes and other buildings in 2017 and 2018.

Here is another classic example of how not to use the word “evacuation.” Places are eventuated, not people. (Do I need to drag out the clip again from “The Wire”?)

We needed a environmental study to cut back brush ...

Who owns PG & E......

We know

To the surprise of absolutely no one. The area was even in a PSP when the incident happened.

To quote my dad growing up 'so whose gonna pay for this mess?'

No shit Sherlock.

PG&E also caused 2015, 2017, 2018 and now 2019 fires yet settlement with victims was a mere pittance. A sweet deal that’ll allow emergence from bankruptcy & surely more fires in the future. Why aren’t PG&E executives and board members being held accountable?

To which everyone in the room rolled their eyes and yelled, 'DUH!'

I NEVER THOUGHT I WOULD SEE THE DAY WHEN A COP WOULD DO THIS ⚠️⚠️

It was actually Leonardo DiCaprio's electric car that started the blaze.

And governor Jerry Brown immediately signed a bill that allowed them to raise their rates to pay for any lawsuits. Go figure

Didn't we already know this?

We knew this. Now make them pay.

Wait, a government made monopoly in a Democratic Dictatorship mismanaged their business? How is this possible?!
