The Philippine Air Force (PAF) has transported 11 Indian nationals and 52 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) back to their homes as transportation remains limited due to the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

In a statement, the PAF said the Indian nationals were flown via a C-130 aircraft from Davao City to Manado, Indonesia on Friday.

“Aside from the workers inside the country, OFWs were the most affected workers during the lock down. They were displaced from work to mitigate the spread of COVID-19,” the PAF said. Aside from transporting stranded individuals, the PAF has also been flying in and out of the country to transport medical supplies and equipment that were purchased by the government to respond to the health crisis.
