Brink of hysteria.

Meh, we need to this the herd a bit. Disease seems a legitimate, guilt-free way

These are the people we should quarantine and look after, not returning cruisers, travellers and “Australians” returning home.... government money spent in wrong area...

Wow. Dan Andrews knocked the military support back 2 weeks ago and now the age care sector is asking for that help. He also admitted yesterday that they haven't been contacting positive cases within 24 hrs. The military could of helped 2 weeks ago. ResignDanielAndrews

Aged care residents with coronavirus turned away from hospital, providers sayThe federal and state governments have been urged to act urgently as the number of coronavirus cases and deaths rise in Victoria's aged care homes. This is appalling and essentially cost shifting by the Victorians back to the Commonwealth funded & administered aged care sector. For any Australian publicity funded hospital to turn away an Australian is reprehensible. The Commonwealth should start withholding Medicare funds Unfortunately this is the outcome to expect when we defund aged care. Not wearing PPE is more likely a result of homes not having the funds to pay for it. One staff member alone would have to visit a large number of residents multiple times each day and change ppe every time. Very predictable. Lock the country. Kill the economy. Save the people who don't need saving and neglect the ones who do. I doubt the elderly from aged care hang out at the pub.

Aged care bearing brunt of Victoria's coronavirus outbreak | Sky News AustraliaVictoria has recorded its deadliest day of the pandemic, with five deaths recorded over a 24-hour period, three of which were aged-care residents. \n\nDeaths from aged care homes now account for more than a quarter of the death toll in Victoria, which is sitting at 49. \n\nAuthorities are particularly concerned about St Basil’s Homes for the Aged in Fawkner, which has 73 confirmed cases of the coronavirus. \n\nCommonwealth officials have now taken over operations of the facility as they work to bring the infection rate under control. \n\nEstia Health in Ardeer also has 67 confirmed cases, Estia Health in Heidelberg has 34 and Menarock Life Aged Care in Essendon has 55. \n I’m sorry but it’s this kind of headline that breeds fear! 5 deaths of people who are in a care home? Probably no different than the mortality rate of a normal seasonal flu Labor Daniel Andrews wrong AGAIN Andrews slammed Victorians who refused to self-isolate while awaiting the results of COVID-19 tests But Andrews Govt information has been circulated widely by state authorities suggesting people did not need to isolate 500 people die a day in Australia, on average. How many of these elderly deaths were WITH Covid, not FROM COVID. This Victoria situation is ridiculous, protect the vulnerable and let everyone else take the risk of getting a cold.
