Senior doctors in Victoria warn hundreds of lives could be at risk in the aged care sector if a new wave of COVID-19 were to hit the state.

They argue there is still no clear coronavirus response plan for Nursing Homes and other facilities tasked with caring for the elderly. Professor Michael Murray has told Nine Newspapers he blames the crisis on the government not being prepared for the current community transmission rate. He also said the only way to provide residents with proper care would be to transfer them to hospital, even if they did not have the virus.
