Do-not-resuscitate care home orders reviewed in wake of incorrect use during early stage of pandemic

Dr Benneyworth said it was unacceptable for DNARs to be applied to groups of people of any description.

NHS England said it had already made clear that orders should only ever be made on an individual basis. In a statement, the charity said:"There are probably many more cases where the homes did not necessarily admit to the blanket DNAR order, or where they did not feel comfortable speaking with an external organisation. So 704 is the minimum number of individuals that would have otherwise been affected."

Just call it what it is Elder abuse, a cull of the elderly. Tens of thousands have been neglected to death on government orders. These are the “measures” you don’t hear so much about

Government backed genocide.

should rename it the 'Shipman Policy'

I hope they look at where the pressure to have the DNRs was coming from - understand it was GPs putting the pressure on families and care homes.

“Incorrect use” of DNR orders. That thud was my jaw hitting the floor!

Let's not dress it up in fancy terms 'DNR' its murder plain and simple, a blanket coverage without consulting the patient or their families, equally applicable to the 'Liverpool pathway' system, absolute genocide, and the 'Government' are responsible TickTock

Need to be clear about resuscitation orders and medical treatment the two are not mutually exclusive.

It was easier to let go. Many died. Gvt were not ready when life is no longer futile.

God bless them! To be!

Hhmmm thought is was a personal choice.

Looks like sex with unvaccinated people will be banned next.

This was an outrageous scandal, virtually equivalent to murder/attempted murder. People should be going to prison
