|Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell is urging supporters of Gladys Berejiklian to look “objectively” at the evidence presented to the ICAC inquiry and properly assess her future in government. Disgraced former MP Daryl Maguire will today front the corruption watchdog where it was anticipated he would be asked about a visa racket and property developments in which he allegedly sought payments and commissions.
Mr Clennell said a major focus for the inquiry over the next two days would be her knowledge of his actions and why she did not reprimand him or bring attention to it. “I know a lot of people have a lot of sympathy and support for Gladys Berejiklian, I know she’s done a fantastic job during the pandemic,” he said. “Before this evidence I viewed her as a clean politician.
