Stick your water meters...nationalise it now
Boilers that don’t make you drain off almost a gallon of water before hot water comes through would be a help too... Can’t we do better that this in 21st Britain?

Would love one but impossible when living in a ground floor flat and the water comes through my flat on one pipe before ascending to the 1 st floor flat.

Major Ponces that’s what MP stands for now. Apart from screwing the country on their expenses and a dozen houses each why can’t they focus on matters that make a real difference to us. This statement is utter rubbish and stinks of a back hander. Fix the bloody leaks first !!!
My fear, is that once everyone is on a water meter, water will become a commodity just like everything else. Yes we all could be better at conserving water, but so could the water companies. I'm not one for state ownership, but for water I would make an exception. Non profit!

Yeah make it fair, My children are loosing the most on it as I can't afford hot tub or swimming pool because of meters.I had no choice as I had meters preinstalled and there's no way of going back.
What MP's? Large properties like my house has a large bore pipe and cannot have a meter. So effectively, MP's are saying little street houses should have water meters, while we pay a set fee, water our landscaped gardens, water our horses, and our greenhouses. A bit unfair tbh.

Why are the Govt still pussyfooting around this? It could have been sorted years ago. With meters sensible users save money, but the squanderous few pay dearly. What's the problem with that?
