A 26-year-old artisan, Gbenga Demehin, on Wednesday appeared in an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court for allegedly assaulting a hotel guest with a rake.The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.

Emuerhi told the court that the defendant committed the offence on March 8 at 11p.m. at Unity Hotel, Majidun Ogolonto in Ikorodu, Lagos. Chief Magistrate J.A. Adegun admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.
