You just posted a housing crisis piece bemoaning the unaffordability of housing. Perhaps this story could have involved some critical evaluation rather than just parroting the “rising house prices is a good thing” narrative of a major mortgage lender and some estate agents?

Good we want London house prices to fall it will free up loads of money and that’ll be spent in London. Therefore it helps recover from covid. This is why London boomed from 2009 to 2015 because deflation boosted purchasing power here.
'Performing'. Housing isn't stocks and shares. The extreme commodification of it is exactly why we are where we are now with fewer and fewer people being able to afford to buy.
