Emergency services had spent several days searching for 31-year-old mother Rene Latimore who was reported missing by her family earlier this month.

A body has been found on a Central Queensland property that was the centre of a missing person investigation.

Police say an investigation centre was set up on Saturday afternoon after human remains were found at Koumala, south of Mackay. Emergency services had spent several days searching for a 31-year-old mother, Rene Latimore, who was reported missing by her family earlier this month. A police spokeswoman says while the body is yet to be formally identified it is believed to be that of Ms Latimore.Ms Latimore was last seen in the Illbilbie area on August 9 but was not reported missing until August 18.An update is expected to be given later today.
