PETALING JAYA: Its mission is to care for the poor and marginalised from all backgrounds. But like most charity homes nationwide, the spread of Covid-19 in Malaysia has left Calvaryland with decreased financial contributions since the pandemic struck.

The centre, which is located in Sungai Pelek, Sepang, currently cares for 45 residents comprising elderly and fostered children aged between five to 17 years. Calvaryland works towards providing them with an education alongside preparing them for the workplace. “We are fortunate to be blessed with generous amounts of food from friends, mostly from the surrounding community,” she said.

The online concert consists of a variety of presentations and artwork displays by the teachers and students which includes performances ranging from piano pieces to ballet and contemporary dances.
