MPs with their second homes should also be ‘letting’ out their spare accommodation! As always it’s down to everyday, genuine people to ‘show up’ for the government to increase number so they look better! These poor people are fleeing their homes, where is the basic humanity?!

Pretty sure if Roman sells chelsea for the reported 3 BILLION quid that will pay for a lot of hotel rooms and spare money for eating out,would help hotel occupancy and local eating establishments thus helping out the economy !
THis is another so-called scheme to make them look good but to further delay letting people in.

No one really thinks this will happen do they? Not at any sort of scale. Given they are making it as hard as possible to come to the U.K. this is, as always, a hollow gesture. Unless they mean to house the 50 people we’ve met in who will stay with family

Bit worrying. Will people who do this be checked out. Open to so many problems. Dangling £350. There are so many empty large buildings that would probably be cheaper to modify like all the empty shops.
It is getting tough enough with the rising cost of living. That bloody magic money tree pops up again. I'm sure GaryLineker & the rest of the Virtual Signallers will sort this out.
Why not use the empty multi-million Russian oligarch properties across London to house any Ukraine who wishes to come to the UK? Seize the assets and support anyone in need.

..resorting to incentivising already struggling folk to carry the burden of decisions you led them to, and they willingly followed when they neither considered nor calculated its impact on their lives in an already fraught economic time. At first, sweet, then bitter.
Tax payers money gone
Roughly 10% of what it costs the govt to pay for each fully funded refugee arriving on our shores in a dinghy. Next - unscrupulous landlords filling houses scooping up £1400 pm for a family of 5. With them eventually able to claim UC and other benefits. Disastrous support plan.

It’s not a thank you, it’s a cop out, another way to make sure the Ukrainians don’t stay in this country and our corrupt government doesn’t have to find them accommodation, but they can’t afford to help the poor by taking the 1000 uplift on universal credit
