The city is looking to bring its graffiti ordinance in line with state law.

In 2021, Leon Valley reported 146 sightings of graffiti. This year, as of Feb. 22, 18 sightings of graffiti were reported.Property owners would have 15 days to remove graffiti instead of the current 10 should Leon Valley go forward with proposed changes meant to bring its graffiti ordinance in line with state law.

Caldera and police Chief David Gonzalez went over the details of the proposed revisions during a meeting of the Leon Valley City Council on March 1.
