Son of German vaccine billionaire buys $33 million Mosman house | Lucy_Macken

Southern Highlands trophy home Linden Hall is set to hit the market with $27.5 million hopes.Advertisement

The 35-year-old’s purchase was hoped to remain a tightly guarded secret by selling agent Richard Simeon, but that was always going to be a challenge given the sale reset local records and the buyer’s family is one of the wealthiest in Germany, thanks in part to the global roll-out of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.

The brothers are now worth an estimated $US13.66 billion each, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. This is the majestic residence in Robertson, designed by architect Richard Rowe, that was modelled on Point Piper’s original trophy home Henrietta Villa which was regarded as the colony’s unrivalled residence of Captain John Piper before being demolished in 1850.Linden Hall, however, is not a historic home. It was built 20 years ago, and the Davids purchased it for $5.5 million in late 2007 at the start of the global financial crisis.

This river is changing its course, but millions of dollars in property are in its pathFarmers have been watching the Burdekin River for years. Now, new research backs up their concerns that it is changing course. If only the dredged sand and rocks could be used to build higher level roads in Qld & NSW..... It would be useful to have a study on the link between silted up waterways & more severe flooding - if a waterway isn't as deep as it used to be because its full of silt, does a major influx of water cause worse flooding in the surrounding areas? Why are our waterways silting up? . We think the rivers as at 1901 are set and we built around them. The Northern Rivers is a swamp. Gold Coast is a swamp. Wamberal is a shifting sand bar. Riverside swamo towns are less economically important now we built the highways.
