KUALA LUMPUR, March 23 — Gamuda Bhd’s net profit for the second quarter ended January 31, 2022 rose to RM177.13 million from RM123.24 million a year ago supported by the better earnings in the construction and property divisions.
“The ongoing risks to the country’s economic and fiscal outlook posed by the progression of the Covid-19 pandemic and uncertainties surrounding the Delta and now Omicron variants have dampened economic activity. It said this year’s performance is anticipated to be driven by overseas and local property sales and the continued progress of Mass Rapid Transit Putrajaya Line, formerly called MRT Line 2.
