The Nigeria Army on Friday said it lost four operatives in Plateau, and some parts of Kaduna, Bauchi while keeping the peace.
The Association of Nigeria , in a recent press release, had alleged that the team was aiding the recent killings in some parts of Plateau State. Major Ishaku Takwa, spokesman of Operation Safe Haven , in a statement on Friday, denied the allegation, saying the claim was an attempt to deliberately mislead the citizens of the state.
According to him, the personnel under his watch only maintain peace, by protecting the lives and properties, adding that even in the process, it lost one officer and three soldiers from January this year to date.“Operation Safe Haven wishes to clearly state that these claims are totally false and should be disregarded by well-meaning Nigerians.
“Operation Safe Haven has made a concerted effort in stemming the tide of communal clashes, reprisals and other forms of criminalities in Plateau.” He said.
