Close contact rules, major pandemic restrictions scrapped in NSW | lucy_carroll marywardy

, household contacts will no longer need to isolate for seven days but will instead be required to undertake daily rapid antigen testing before coming into contact with any people outside their household. The removal of close contact rules will come into effect from 6pm on Friday.

NSW Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant said, that while NSW had passed the peak of the latest COVID-19 wave, the “plateau is quite flat, and the decline is quite slow”. People who test positive to COVID-19 via a PCR test or a RAT will still be required to isolate for seven days. Chant said the overhaul to the rules were part of simplifying COVID measures as case numbers continued to decline and the state lives with the virus, but could not rule out reintroducing restrictions should cases surge or a more severe variant emerges.

lucy_carroll marywardy 15,000 cases and 15 deaths a day and restrictions are eased. Sounds like crap to me.

lucy_carroll marywardy Perrotet is on record stating that he lied about his covid response. Nothing he says should be heard on the matter. It's disingenuous of any press to report these absolute lies as the basis for his decision making.

lucy_carroll marywardy 2/3 of all Australian COVID deaths have occurred this year, since protections have been removed (I refuse to say 'restrictions have been eased'). Meanwhile this lot and their media allies, keep telling us it's all ok.

lucy_carroll marywardy The right step forward. Repeatedly Isolating healthy people could be defined as crazy

lucy_carroll marywardy no more nonsense, it's good indicator for incoming election. Vote Libs and be free or Labor and stay home and expose yourself for police abuse.

lucy_carroll marywardy We re screwed.

lucy_carroll marywardy Sanctioned murder?

lucy_carroll marywardy Crazy. I got sick last week, tested pos. Partner didn’t go to work of course. She texted pos 36 hrs later. Under these new rules she would of gone on public transport to a busy office.

lucy_carroll marywardy This is very on brand for NSW - at a time when restrictions should be ramping up, lockdowns happening, curfew, N95 mandates, nsw are winding back rules again. Some advice: look to Victoria where we take covid seriously. istandwithdan domicron rubyprincess resigngladys
