There’s no need at this point to deliver the sort of detailed and fully costed policies required of a leader heading a national campaign. But the pledges he…

a tattered-looking house in Vancouver that had somehow been listed for $4.9 million, citing it as an example of a property world gone crazy.

This is not the only area of Poilievre’s housing crusade that can seem perplexing. His newly announced remedy for the supply crunch is to use federal pressure to force “severely unaffordable big cities” to change local regulations that he blames for making construction too difficult and expensive.Article content

This is the same politician who is running on making Canada the “freest country in the world” by getting intrusive, overreaching politicians out of Canadians’ hair. Yet what else would you call it when Poilievre says that as prime minister, he’d withhold promised funding for infrastructure to specific cities unless local politicians bend to his will?Article content

No where close to JT’s “the budget will balance itself” idiocy or the constant printing of money in the basement and the highest inflation in 30’years. Good work JT - if you wanted to be like your dad you are almost there. Just need the clown shoes and red nose.

Why are you surprised? Not much of what he says does!

Not a whole lotta likes here for the Poilievre bashing comments on this thread. It’s almost as though some people think Trudeau has been some kind of stellar performer.... he hasn’t trudeaumustgo

Of course it doesn’t. The guy has the depth of a bone dry swimming pool. cdnpoli

Poilievre maintains such practices don’t inflate prices, saying that he and his wife are “helping solve the problem by providing affordable rental accommodations to two deserving families,”- ⬇️is this true

no shit.

Well I guess it's that time of year.

Depending on artificially prop-up housing price like addiction to drugs for the economy and the country, there is no easy way to get off. But at least Pierre Poilievre’s showing the will.

These comments are amuzing

Nor does anything else coming from him. No wonder, inside the conservative caucus he is known as “ the mouth without a brain “ !

That's OK Kelly. His housing plan stands up far better than his character, and I'd say the latter is more important.

No kidding. And yet it's just about the only issue he's been pushing. So it turns out he doesn't have anything to offer

His plan doesn’t need to hold up to scrutiny. He’s appealing to people who want simple answers, not realistic ones, so he’ll just keep saying “remove the gatekeepers” over and over because simple solutions appeal to simple minds.

And Trudeau’s does?

Pierre is an embarrassment, hope the Conservative choose a good leader this time as he/she will likely be the next PM

Would PeePee himself hold up to scrutiny? I doubt it.
