Patients were discharged from hospitals to care homes unlawfully during the pandemic, the High Court has ruled, with the government failing to consider the risk

Dr Cathy Gardner and Fay Harris, whose fathers both died in care homes during the pandemic, partially succeeded in legal action against the health secretary and Public Health England today.In the ruling, Lord Justice Bean and Mr Justice Garnham concluded that policies contained in documents released in March and early April 2020 were unlawful.

About time someone was bought to book for this dreadful decision

Where do these stupid women think patients should have been discharged to? Hospital wards were full and beds needed for the influx, they probably needed continuing care. Did they want bed blockers to cause the deaths of people in desperate need?

Hope that the government wasn't listening to the 'experts' when it decided the strategy.

This happened all over Europe! Italy and Spain did exactly the same. This was part of a plan to react to a pandemic. Hindsight is wonderful.I want also see report of people who acquired Covid IN hospital because of lack of hygiene protocols! That's a scandal that need exposing.
