Some are still staying in shelters while others are staying with neighbours. The eThekwini municipality is on a mission to help as many families as possible with the support of businesses and sponsors.
When the informal dwellings r destroyed in fires etc,is a proper assessment fine,or fo they just dump material on site, without taking note of how many homes actually destroyed, based in some rumored number?only to have excess material dumped, and another hundred shacks erected.
Those homes will never be the right standard. It's just a wasteful exercise. The next flood, the homes will be eroded.
The plan is to 'build' these homes after the 2024 elections. We know the plot.
At least you did something right🕯
