CSO figures show homes in Cork city are closest to the facilities at 1.6 kilometres, with Dublin city and Galway city at just over 2 kilometres

Remote work hubs are on average 5.6 kilometres from homes across the country.

. However, households in Donegal have the furthest to travel to a remote hub at almost 9 kilometres, with County Cork and Meath with distances of 8.4 kilometres.Just under half of homes in Kildare, Louth, Meath and Wicklow were less than 5km from a remote work hub. In county Meath, 21% homes were less than 5km from a remote work hub, while in county Cavan it was 34.9%.On average nationally there is one 1.6 kilometres away from every home, however that varies on a county by county basis.While, Roscommon, Mayo and Leitrim had the furthest to travel to access the service.
