It’s one thing advertising a vacant property tax, but in many cases the owner cannot afford to renovate those period buildings. Not everybody wants the hassle of managing tenants and there is little revenue from the rent received as it’s taxed at the higher rate.
What about lowering tax for private individual rentiers to help them compete coporational rentiers on 12% tax? Some individual rentiers pay as much as 40% of the money they earn!

The lets-keep-them-derelict lobby is out in force already!
Q: What percentage of derelict houses are derelict bcoz of an arson/fire related death or a murder or was a household of child abuse crimes? Poll: What percentage of first time buyers would be willing to buy a house involved in a crime?/Which crimes?/How many years after crime?
So let me get this straight. A person builds or buys a property. In doing so pay all taxes and levies required and now because they don't use it for some reason or another they are to be taxed again.
Yes

No.

Problem is in many cases, empty properties exist because someone has died amd nobody knows who owns them. Should be repossessed by Government after 3 years if nobody makes a claim on them. Happens in both urban and rural areas. Its sad to see properties going into dereliction
Yes, No, I don't know. what was the question again?
