Fire destroys property worth millions of naira in Onitsha

The incident which occurred in the early hours of yesterday affected a two-storey residential building located at Akunnia Street, Woliwo area of the commercial town.

Newsmen learnt that the fire incident which cause was yet to be established as at the time of filing this report started on the last floor of the building. It was gathered that millions of naira worth of personal property of the occupants of the last floor of the building had been burnt before the fire was put off by the combined efforts of occupants of the neighbouring buildings and officials of the state fire service.
