Deputies have evacuated residents from a handful of homes potentially in the path of that roughly 20-acre brush fire in the area of Casner Road and state Route 78 in Ramona, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. No structural damage or injuries have been reported.
UPDATE: The blaze had spread over about 40 acres but had caused no reported structural damage or injuries.
