The Johor housing and local government committee chairman said the project was 40% completed.
The project is developed by the Housing and Local Government Ministry under the Malaysia Civil Servants Housing Programme . “The ministry is also building a new fire station in Bandar Tenggara which is 95% completed,” he said, adding that the state Fire and Rescue Department had also proposed building new quarters at the Pagoh Fire Station.
In an unrelated matter, the Johor Fire and Rescue Department director Datuk Yahaya Madis said it had received eight reports of small fires daily since early this month.“So far, we have not come across any serious cases that required a huge amount of manpower or assets to be deployed,” he said.
