OLG is reporting the amount of money it’s paying to the Town of Ajax and the Mississaugas of Scugog Island First Nation for being the homes of two of Durham’s casinos.MSIFN is receiving $978,403 for hosting Great Blue Heron Casino.According to OLG representatives, Scugog Island has received around $28-million since May 2000, while Ajax has received more than $99-million since February 2006.
“These payments to host communities are based on a formula consistently applied across all gaming sites in Ontario using a graduated scale of gaming revenue at the hosted site,” noted representatives.
