ICYMI: Letters, July 29: 'Seven on council let this city and its people down'

I have stayed at some great hotels over the years and have noted in several the use of cracked glass as an architectural enhancement. I assume that these glass panels on the Peace Bridge are laminated glass panels for safety reasons. Why don’t we break the remaining panels as I believe it would look pretty and no additional cost for the taxpayer.

I believe that the reason Gian-Carlo Carra had seven councillors back him up because they have already got skeletons in their closets! It’s hard to believe that after filling out his disclosure forms for this many years, he forgot to mention a $300,000 deal! How can “middle-class” Calgarians accept his lame excuse and pathetic apology?! This whole incident should be investigated by the police, not to mention the provincial and federal government, because they may want to have their own audit!...

100% - and it’s repeated, not just this one event.

To me the question is why does a private citizen have to put in a complaint to CalgaryPolice or RicMcIver to have this investigated? Neither exist in a bubble. They are all well aware of the situation & allegations. This should be taken up like any other investigation. yyccc
