reported at two East York homes (Aug. 2)

Police reported two residential break and enters in East York between July 26 and Aug. 1. That’s two fewer than were reported during the previous week . Reports across the city rose by seven to 47, bringing Toronto’s preliminary total break and enters for the year to 1,446 — down nine per cent compared to the same period in 2021.

Two new residential break and enters were reported in Old East York. The first occurred at a house near Judith Drive and Lankin Boulevard on Wednesday, July 27 at approximately 4 a.m. The second occurred at a house in the Durant Avenue and Judith Drive area on Wednesday, July 27 at around 7 a.m. There have been 10 residential break and enters reported in Old East York this year.
