Key details about the Missing Middle Housing Initiative
The initiative would allow types of homes highlighted in yellow to be built without going through the rezoning process. The investment companies have bought them all. Create an increasing tax for owning 3+ homes. This double speak is ludicrous.
The MMI is basically designed to create a free-for-all for developers to build suites that will sell for $800k to $1.5M and will be heavily marketed to wealthy people from Van, Toronto, etc. Will do nothing for ppl in Vic hoping to move up or get into housing.
