These include the existingLower-value homes are also eligible for direct subsidies of up to $5,000.
"As your current gas devices come to the end of their life, our advice to you is: make your next one electric," he said. "It's better for the environment and it'll be better for your bank account — and we'll help you make that transition over the coming years."
Clear reason to exit Canberra…
That is absolute BS so what happens when there is no power how doyou hear homes cook food etc.
Appreciate directions ,toward substructural stability. This is ClimateCrisis, management. EcocideLaw GretaThunberg THANK YOU canberratimes Bowenchris . Glimmer of hope. tanya_plibersek , CHEAT .ClivePalmer understands his coal,is going to WIN. Ultimate contest.USATODAY
Oh why? Are they going back to using coal stoves ?
Wood fired heaters it is then
Great idea from the ACT now they need to turn the lights of .That should get us to target emmissions,we will be forever grateful thank you.
Poor Canberrans
Who cares lefty woak rubbish
Who cares
Restaurants must be furious… actually, does Canberra have restaurants?
So gaskets o rings don't perish.
I guess they’ll continue to pretend they’re using renewable power. That’s a territory with none of its own generating capacity, surrounded by a state that generates between 60-80% of its power from coal So sure
Let them freeze in the dark.
What could possibly go wrong?
Wood heaters are the way. Plenty trees in the ACT
You are kidding? ACT is freezing in winter ….
I remember when gas was the cheapest energy
Fortunately there is plenty of hot air in Canberra.
There is enough gas coming from the houses government in the Territory to cover the requirements.
Gas is the best for cooking.
Hahaha. Good. Ban has BBQs too, and wood. Then return the entire ACT to the indigenous people represented by the flag they fly everywhere and make the lefties rent their own homes back from them.
We lived in Canberra for 10 years using only reverse cycle air-conditioning. The only downside was when it was really cold late at night or early morning down to -6 it would have to switch off and then restart about 10 minutes later but much cheaper than gas.
Hahaha let them freeze when there are blackouts.
one of many reasons why I would never move to the ACT
🤡 🤡
Ask someone from Sri Lanka how the woke climate policies worked out… now they are ravaging the environment for food and wood for cooking.
My gas bills are not the problem as I don't have gas. My power bill is the problem not sure I can last until the government reduce my bill by $275 a year in 2025, or will they?
Luddite central.
Because driving around the suburbs to deliver gas bottles is so much better....Why does one generation box in the next generation to energy poverty? What is the next.. suburbs with no cars, no water connection, no meat, composting toilets only, no cats, vax only?
I would've opposed this... before I actually tried an induction hob.
Just imagining in the near future, cold snap hits, 7pm at night, 20m ev’s plug in to recharge, 20m people turn their electric heaters on, electric cooking appliances and HWS, whilst we’re relying on solar, wind and batteries 🤣
They can't even assure reliable energy as it is now.🤦♂️
The climate cultists policies are a direct attack on the poor and marginalised. “Let the poor freeze to death in the dark”
