Multiple people are reportedly dead after an explosion was heard and fires were found at two houses in a small Nebraska town. An explosion sounded off around 3am on Thursday near 3rd and Elm streets in Laurel, several witnesses toldFire was a factor in two homes in Laurel where an unknown number of people were discovered dead, according to authorities.
‘Fire has been involved at both houses, and that’s all I know,’ said Nebraska State Patrol spokesman Cody Thomas.Officials wearing hazmat suits were seen walking toward the site of the apparent explosion on Thursday morning, theA city official told KCAU that the Cedar County Sheriff’s Office advised that they go into lockdown.The state patrol was set to hold a press conference at 3.30pm local time.
