Rotary Club of Bauchi Central has planted 100 trees at the new housing estate in Dunga, a suburb of Bauchi metropolis, to curb desertification in the state.

President of the Club, Nonso Nwobi, after planting the trees, yesterday, described environmental protection as one of the cardinal agenda of the Club.

“The purposes of these trees include beautifying the new estate, providing shade and serving as the windbreaker.”
