After waiting in a snaking queue of people for her turn to speak to President Cyril Ramaphosa, Gogo Nontsikeleo's trembling hands finally took the microphone and told the president that she had been waiting for an RDP house since 1996.
"I registered for a house in 1996. We live uncomfortably. Please, government. We need houses as older people. Older people do not have houses, and the ones distributed are given to young people. Since 1996, we have been running around from one place to the next. We are tired, government. We need houses," she said from her wheelchair.
