Video shows multiple ladder trucks surrounding a building on Grand Street in Williamsburg while firefighters battled a fire Tuesday morning.Firefighters were investigating what exactly led to flames breaking out inside of a restaurant and tearing through the exterior of a building in Brooklyn early Tuesday.
The fire started just before 3:45 a.m. in the first floor restaurant of a three-story mixed-use building on Grand Street in the Williamsburg section. From there, the flames quickly spread up to the exterior of the second and third floors and into the building's cockloft, according to the FDNY.Six firefighters were treated for minor injuries, and while four apartments were evacuated, no residents were hurt.
The area around Grand Street and Union Avenue was closed as the firefighters continued to work and the buildings department evaluated the structural integrity of the building.
