Firefighters who responded used defibrillators to try to revive him but paramedics didn’t arrive until 34 minutes “and 14 seconds” after the first 911 call. She was heartened when the Progressive Conservatives put health care front and centre in its election platform a year ago. MacPhee said she’s not a political person but she was impressed with Tim Houston’s focus on the issue.
