Image: PA A PROTEST AGAINST emergency housing for Ukrainians in Co Kildare, has been postponed as members of a local campaign group plan to meet integration minister Roderic O’Gorman.

The group, which organised the protest, said it was postponed as they have been informed that they will be meeting with Minister O’Gorman on Tuesday to express their concerns about the plans. It added that access to services – including water, electricity, digital infrastructure and telecoms – and the size and scale of the potential settlement were the main criteria to be considered in the identification of sites.

A second tranche of sites is set to be finalised over the next few weeks following completion of further suitability assessment work on them.
